This was the latest letter from CS today: Dear XXXX,
Thank you for contacting Sprint. I understand that you wish to upgrade
the handset on the account.
I am happy to inform you that Blackberry Curve 8330 will launched on May
07, 2008.
You can upgrade your handset after May 07, 2008.
Thank you again for contacting Sprint. We appreciate your business.
Sincerely,
Dain M.
Sprint
Granted, I don't have an account so "upgrading the handset on [my] account" wouldn't apply exactly. This date seems to be more of a consensus though.

Hello All,
I'm awaiting, with rapidly fading bated breath, the BB 8330 through Sprint. My current phone is on its last legs, and I decided to take a leap and buy a BB. The one I chose after much debate, is, of course, in typical Sprint fashion, being delayed and delayed. It's a race for me now to see if the Curve will be released before my current cell kicks the bucket. (Will the Curve arrive in time? Stay tuned!)
So, while I await my new arrival, my question as a newbie is thus:
Do I have to buy a separate plan through BB in order to access online + email, or can I buy a plan through Sprint?
If Sprint doesn't cough up the goods soon, I may have to switch to an other service provider, because they suck anyway.

So I'm looking through this Sunday's sales flyers....and Sprint has an insert that features the BlackBerry Curve....with the words coming soon....I'm inclined to believe that they would not advertise this if this was being released in June.....Mid-May FTW!

| | Sprint BlackBerry(Curve)
Ok I have personally gone to see a sales rep from Sprint and he told me that they are coming out with a BlackBerry curve its not the world edition it is entirely a new phone with camera. World edition is more of a business phone.
Hope this helps and they were supposed to be out in mid april but they have been delayed for some reason.

Was a little surprised as I wouldn't have thought that Mother's Day was the right demographic for the Curve, but then again it was supposed to come out last month. Unfortunately, it just said "coming soon". The "May 11" in the screenshot was most likely just Mother's Day, but I'll take it if it becomes true.
