Default Sync BlackBerry with Mac OS X...

So what's the best app for this? I've heard of PocketMac but I read pretty bad reviews about it. Anyone know of others?

Should probably post this in the OSX section of the forums...but I will say I've used Pocketmac for about a year now and never had a single problem. It won't do everything BB Desktop will do but...nothing on a mac will....The missing sync is an app you have to pay for and I've heard about a ton of people having issues with it. I myself tried it when I had my storm and it was a no-go...however I don't think all the bugs had been worked out from the storm compatibility at the time.

Pocketmac is my recommendation. Besides...its free...why not?

I may as well give a shot, where exactly did you download it from?

Here's my solution for RIM's lack of support for Mac users.

I use Boot Camp with Windows XP and just switch over to the Windows side when I need to do something BB related like use Desktop Manager. The pro's (well, pro): Can do everything you can for BB's on a real Windows computer. The con's: It's not the most convenient solution, you do lose some harddrive space on the Mac side.

I tried Pocket Mac but I've never gotten it to work properly, for any BB. I haven't tried Missing Sync but I know a few people who have and they all agree it was money well spent.

Bump.

I use pocketmac but only use it for contacts and calendar, we have an old windows laptop that I can use for DM stuff but it is not ideal.

I have had the odd duplicate calendar entry issue which I solved (by luck no idea how) but other than that works well. I hear that the missing sync is not without it's own problems which is why I have not bothered changing.

I would like better though, come on rim desktop manager for mac please?

I have had marginal success with PocketMac. It crashed on startup with my brother's new Macbook, so I called Blackberry tech support for the fix. As we were talking, and after he told me they don't support the sync feature with .mac (mobile me), etc... only the iTunes and iPhoto syc, I asked him if there was a better solution than PocketMac. He said they were working on a Beta version of the Desktop software for Windoes now. I friend of his was testing it, and it will be available soon. YEA!!!
