Default Palm OS (like) calendar?

I was just wondering if there is a way or application to make the calendar look and operate more like the Palm OS...

Thanks

I'm sorry, but I don't know what the Palm calendar looks like any more. I'm sure it's changed since my Vx. You might look at Pocket Informant. It's a PIM-shell that puts a different user interface on the BlackBerry calendar, contacts, and tasks. You can Google it. I think they still have a free limited trial.

I'll second JeffH here. My last palm was a tungsten, and I would say PI is probably the closest to palm I have found. I was running datebk on the palm and Pi is also the closest I have found to that.

Sbsh had been working on an app I believe is called calendar pro. What they had in beta was pretty good, but incomplete. I haven't checked in a couple months but you can track them down by googling sbsh forums.

Good luck, and please post back if you find other good solutions

The two biggest things I miss from the Palm calendar app is categories (for color coding purposes) and switching views by pressing the calendar button. It really was a time saver.

Pi allows color coding of categories (user definable) and also has shortcut keys to switch views (m for month view, w for week view etc)

Having find specific keys on the keyboard isn't quite the same as using the hard button you used to get into the calendar to cycle between the views. It might not be so bad if it was a single key and it was one very easily findable one without looking. (AKA I usually had the calendar on the right screen before I ever had it in complete view to see the thing if I was something other than the agenda view.)

I can't argue the point that it would be nice to have one key that would cycle through the views. As the shortcut keys are also user configurable the closest you could get would be to set them all in a pattern across or down a row or column of keys or something.

I guess I don't notice too much - being a pearl user I tend to focus on the keyboard when typing due to suretype. (that and I mostly live in the week view!).

Good luck.

In another thread someone recommended Agendus (and they were a former Palm user too).
