Default Alternative to the Roxio Media Manager???

I'm new to crackberry.com but not new to Blackberrys. I was rocking a 6510 back in 04 and have been using blackberries ever since. So now that Sprint finally had the Curve available I just picked one up last week.

I love the phone and can't wait to stop having to carry an ipod and my BB everywhere. I have an 8gb Sandisk mirco SDHC card on the way to bring all my music, photos and video to the Blackberry but my intial use of the Roxio Media Manager Program is disappointing.

I'm looking for an application that creates playlists (compatible with iTunes would be a plus) for music, ability to load photos and video as well.

What are the most popular for this so far?

Also when I'm using the current media player on my 8330 I notice a feedback sound when swithing between songs. This isn't too bad when using headphones but becomes much worse when used in my car or with my home theatre setup. I know it's not the song because the file plays fine on the iPod and my home computer. Any suggestions on this?

Sorry if both of these questions have been answered in detail already.

I second that, I've never been too fond of Roxio products myself. Something like Media Monkey would be nice.

On advice by other forum members I went to MiuTunes Media player and it is definitely better then than the OEM.

I tried the newest beta version of MiuTunes Media player and while the interface looked much more attractive it still isn't better then the default plater.

It doesn't recognize playlists like the media manager does. This is a big flaw so far. I looked on their forums and saw that their engineering team is looking into adding this. This shouldn't even be a debate. Just do it.

In addition I found that the shortcut keys for the default player worked better such as N, P and the use of the trackwheel to stop and pause.

Also the initial load time for the app is somewhat slow.

I disagree. The latest version which came out on Tuesday is much faster when starting up almost instantly and a much better version than the last 3 betas. I would recommend it to try.
