Scroll Left/Right?

It's probably painfully obvious, but how do you scroll left to right?

For example, if I type an email and realize that in the middle of the line I have a typo how do I scroll left to right to get to the typo without deleting everything from the start of the next row back? Or playing sudoku...

I believe on that device, you hold the alt and then scroll...
