How to Share your BlackBerry Tips & How Tos

We want to keep the Threads in the Tips, How To & FAQ Forum strictly on topic, and therefore we do not allow members to post New Questions or Create New Threads in this forum. If you have a question, please post in the appropriate other forum - device forum, carrier forum, software/accessories forum, etc.

If you have a BB TIP or How To to share, please create the thread in another appropriate forum, and from their kindly message a forum moderator to move it into this forum for you. This is your chance to help the CrackBerry community. Write detailed tutorials and how tos - use images, go step by step, etc.. Members and BlackBerry users everywhere will appreciate it!

That's it! Thanks!

Just an effort to keep the forums clean, and have everything in its place. If you have any How-To's or Tips that you think should be in the How To Forums, feel free to PM me (or any mod) and we'll make sure they land in the proper place. Thanks!

Try this link to get started: Getting Started Guide

That gives a bit of an intro to the site and where content is located. For digging through the forums, start with the CrackBerry Forums How-To as there are soom site usage instructions in there.

When using the advanced forum search, pay attention to how you are searching - you can choose between thread titles and posts (left side drop down option). By default the results are displayed in the order of Last Posting Date. You'll find that searching thread titles will narrow down the results, and you can change how the results are displayed (relevancy, title, number of replies, etc.). Master the forums Advanced Search options and you'll find all the content around the forums lickity split.

Where can I find a list of carrier email addresses that can be used instead of sms (i.e. instead of texting to a Verizon phone number I can email to 10 digit cell number@vtext.com)? What is the Sprint, Nextel, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, this is hilarious! Thanks Kevin for letting us know how to go about this, sorry it turned into a thread of asking stuff

To pretty much everyone else, many of questions can be answered by searching the forums which those exact questions.

Default Problems with Media Manager

Hi all I am new to this site and new to BB (recently purchased my 1st BB Curve 8320 on 9/11/08)

The first time I ever tried to download music (the same week I bought the BB) it worked fine. Now I can't seem to get my Media Manager to work. I go to click on MM to open & nothing happens. And to make matters worse, Roxio does not come up on my computer, Rhapsody does. But Rhapsody was already downloaded on our computer we have Vista version. This is so frustrating. I've never felt more stupid in my life. Don't know if I did something wrong or should I just forget about even trying to download music? Someone PLEASE help me!!!!

People, this thread is NOT the place to get your questions answered. This thread is intended to be an instruction to those of us who already know how to do things, and want to write a How To Guide so those of you who don't can read it.

Your questions about how to do things need to go in the appropriate threads/forums if you want them to be answered.
