Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls...I apologize for the long wait, but I'm proud to bring you all BDHP v5.0 for ALL OS5 AND OS6 devices! During our time off we have made a lot of progress in BDHP, including bringing back OS5 support for those still on legacy devices, and introducing a new shrink app (with support for OS6). We have lots of store for you, so without any further to do:
!!PLEASE READ!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ensure you are selecting correct installation path when running installer! Sample installation path is as follows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9700M_v6.0.0.424_P6.6.0.109
OS5 Version:
Includes 5.0.0.972/977/983/5.2/6.0.0.415 files
Featuring new shrink application (BB Boss Shrinker)
OS6 version on help screen
OS6 clock faces
OS6 Version:
Includes 6.0.0.415/424 files
Featuring new shrink application (BB Boss Shrinker)
Newest BBM version (5.0.1.45)
Instructions:
1) Remove any installed OS and install base OS
2) Download BDHP v5.0 Installer
3) Run installer, and set installation path
4) Make sure to create a backup
5) Wipe device using BBSAK or similiar tool (optional)
6) Run loader.exe and install
7) After installation do a battery pull
Note: For those of you that missed previous releases, or are new to BDHP, I have started releasing a mini hybrid. Instead of downloading the hybrid in its entirety, I am only including files changed. Please do not be alarmed when you see the file size as being 11.2MB, this is indeed the full download. This results in faster download and installation speeds, which keeps everyone happy
Yes, this also means ONE installer for ALL devices!
Nice, will be trying and reporting back later this week.
You sure added those .424 files fast...AND testing them ?!?! Seems to me you guys had them running before today's leak already
Wow ! I'm excited ! Just installed the 9700 leak so I'll wait and see how that goes first ! Thanks for your hard work everyone ! I'm sure its fantastic !

Can anyone provide with a link with dumbed down instructions on how to update the OS on a 8330. I am fairly new to this whole blackberry business and any help would be greatly appreciated. My phone has just started to operate really slowly and it is getting very frustrating. Thanks!

Didn't you stumble over this when entering these forums ? It's sitting there...almost in the doorway...
I really like the BB Boss Shrinker I don't have to use BBSAK anymore it's now like an all in one solution for the bb smartphones. I have shrinked the new os 6 base 424 with the BDHP 5.0 and i'm now installing it. Thanks for this release guys and I really appreciate all the effort.!

thanks man, it has a wipe device feature as well.
we will start working on 2.0 if the shrinker version generates enough recognition.
2.0 will have more features that bbsak and bbhtool excludes in their apps.
Just installed it to my pc.
Nice installer, almost noob-proof with all the hint provided in almost each screen.
Had a look at BB Boss, also very comprehensive.
Maybe you could add the hint in the installer that BB Boss can be ran from the OS folder at anytime after exiting the installer.
Maybe you can contact lyricidal on that improvement. His tool also evolved into a very complete tool recently.
wouldn't make sense to do that if we want to keep an edge over the other tools that are out
we just made the shrinker based off my observations of what cods can be removed. so far the shrinker can shrink an os down to ~35 mb. more then the others allow
