- It has multi-tasking. There's a setting in options. I don't have it with me, but I think it's called Presentation Mode. If you switch off "default" to this, you can have video playing in the background. I used it last night to listen to a (horrible) hockey game, while fiddling around with my new device.04-20-11 06:23 PMLike 0
- All RIM needs to do is put an option to identify as a desktop browser in the user-agent string in the PlayBook browser. With that simple option there's NOTHING any of these greedy bastards can do about us watching the content (that I PAY for, no less) on the device of our choice.04-20-11 06:24 PMLike 0

- figured out a workaround. i only tested with gmail but here goes:
browse to the hulu video you actually want to watch.
you should see a large black box where the video would normally be playing.
scroll to BENEATH that and hit the link that lets you copy the "embeddded" code for "sharing"
in the browser open a new tab and go to gmail.
compose a message to yourself and paste the embedded codes
send the message
wait until you get your own message
it should look just like the embedded codes you sent BUT with an active hyperlink in the middle
click the link and the video should load in a new tab
Only downside is I can't get full screen now...04-20-11 06:31 PMLike 0 - figured out a workaround. i only tested with gmail but here goes:

- It's just one string. The browser should have the option to put anything you want in there. There's extensions for Firefox for example that do exactly that.04-20-11 06:37 PMLike 0
- you should be able to get full screen. its a little touchy. if you touch the playing video, one of three things will happen:
show you hulu controls or
link back to hulu site or
pause video
if it shows the hulu controls gently try to hit full screen. it may appear off center at first but should normalize.
i wonder how long this workaround will last. i'm thinking Hulu-police may come storming through the door any minute... let's enjoy it while we can!04-20-11 06:37 PMLike 0 - Ok, so i can get around the gray notification box by clicking on the sides of it, but there is just a black box area where the video should be. Do we have a way to make these play? how are people doing this?04-20-11 06:37 PMLike 0
- i posted this in the comments section of the main CB page too in case people don' venture into the forums.04-20-11 06:39 PMLike 0
- Tabs within the browser do not multitask?
If you have video or audio playing in a tab and go to another tab the media stops.
Seems to be no way to stop that or open a 2nd browser.
The browser with a single tab can multitask with other apps but not tabs within the browser.04-20-11 06:42 PMLike 0 - figured out a workaround. i only tested with gmail but here goes:

- I don't know why RIM or anybody shows what the os is, hide that. Non of the websites business. Just say mozilla and leave it at that.04-20-11 06:47 PMLike 0
