| | Want a new phone
Hey,
I currently have a storm but its too expensive for me and at the moment its being used as a glorified mp3 player....i want a less expensive phone on verizon. The main things i want/need are custom ringtones, speakerphone, text, and lack of a $30/month blackberry data plan and i dont want a flip phone either. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you like a touch screen phone, try the env touch! It has everything you listed above, plus a touch screen and qwerty.

I currently have a BlackBerry 8130 & TH New LG Tritan the Tritan so far is a good phone . I going to be getting a BlackBerry Storm from a friend of mine . So if you would like a good phone with touch screen & full qwerty keyboard take a look at the Tritan it has 3G on it still to new to see what kind of apps & upgrades will be done for this phone & yes this phone is classified as a smartphone. This phone is only on Alltel or U.S cellular.

| | enV Touch!!
this is by far the best phone i have ever used .it outperforms other phones such as dare, versa, etc. but it also is the closest you can get to a smart phone. the problem with the storm is that there is no flick scrolling so when looking through songs my father takes longer on his storm than i do on my touch!! the battery was not so good at first but LG released an update and it glorifies the phone with longer battery life!! Anyways the touch from my experience would be the best way to go but its all based upon personal preference. Good Luck!!!!

I agree, best bang for your buck on VZW is the enV Touch.
Fantastic phone. I love the fact you can access your media playing through the homescreen. Drop down menus from the media bar, and select a different song without going into your media corner.
Better graphics then any storm game i've seen too (NFS ETC)
But I've got to keep blackberry on my side for emails.

I agree with everyone saying Env touch, very nice phone and you don;t need a data plan, I think you need one with the Omnia..

I'd suggest the newest enV touch or an LG voyager. They look alike and work alike. No data need if you get the nationwide connect plan!
