    I personally chose the 9800 not only cause I own it, but because it has all the features of the 9780 PLUS a touch screen.

    Keyboard, OS 6, same memory, same processor + Touch screen love when you need to type

    Browing on the Torch is so much better than any BB i've owned thank to the touch screen and pinch to zoom features!

    Impossible to answer, this. The 9780 hasn't been released yet.
    Spec sheets are woefully lacking as tools to determine a full user experience, which is by its nature subjective when one is trying to determine what is "better."
    Also, you can't determine the "best" blackberry and give only two choices. You may be able to determine "better" once enough people who have used both devices can give an opinion.

    I voted for the BOLD 9780. I played with the TORCH at an AT&T store a month ago and it was nice but I'm not into sliders. I also played with the BOLD 9700 and loved the keyboard and I'm use to that form factor with my curve 8900. The BOLD 9780 will be a great upgrade and appeal to Blackberry's classic audience.

    The wait for it is the hardest thing ):

    The 9780 has alot of pre-released units, it is right around the next corner, it is an upgraded 9700 with OS 6 out of the box, and 512 memory so it is pretty easy to assume how itll be.

    LoL. I don't say that many threads are a fail (not sure if I ever have), but this one certainly is.

    You are going to get completely biased answers by posting this in the 9800 sub forum, which I'm guessing was your intent..

    The definition of "best" in this case is going to be based mostly on one's own preference for a particular form factor and user experience (purely subjective), and partly on hardware specs.

    The 7100t was the most groundbreaking and important BB ever released.

    A better device than the Torch in many respects.
