i've been using this service for about 2 years and i think it's handy. Not sure it's too well known. i did a search on here and came up with nothing.

It's a service that allows you to send and receive money phone to phone using the mobile web or SMS for a small fee.

Just putting it out there. i use it a lot.

There is a mobile site as well as a full web site! Check them both out!

    https://wap.obopay.com/wap/obo

    Anyone else use this?

Obopay sounds like a great app and I just did a little bit of reading on it and it sounds legit and seems like a pretty nifty thing to have in the convenience of your pocket. +1 for this post.

How do you get the cash? Without having to sign up on their website

You can sign up on your phone. You have to link a source to your obopay account (much like paypal). Bank account, credit card, etc.

But unlike paypal you can add and withdraw funds right from the mobile site or app.

Also, when you download the app it adds a "send or receive money" option in your address book options.

it's really convenient when eating out with friends. One person can pay, and Obopay them your share.

Still cheaper than PayPal! They need to update their app for BlackBerry though.

The Refer a Friend is pretty neat. i've made a few bucks signing friends up! https://www.obopay.com/consumer/GetH...eferFriendPage

i wish eBay allowed Obopay payments. i'm getting fed up with PayPal fees!
