Default New to Blackberry, servers, hosted mail

Hello to All,

I'm very new to the Blackberry world having used Windows Mobile Smartphones and now a Treo 700p which I am going to chuck against a wall at the end of this month when Verizon gets the new BB Curve.

My question is this: We are going to kill off our Exchange server at the end of the month as well and go to a hosted solution. Quite frankly, I'm tired as can be of our Exchange server suddenly locking up. We have about 15 people need email services but only 4 with the soon to be released BB Curve (all have Treo's now). I'm looking for the best hosted mail service that can handle our needs, but work well with the BB at the same time. My costs of IT services is skyrocketing due to my server outages so I'm D.U.N., Done with Microsoft.

The new phone looks and seems to operate seemlessly without failures like my Treo, but I'm not quite sure how everything syncs back to your computer or over the air etc. It's a newbie question, but I don't want to get into a bad situation with a hosting service that doesn't work well. I've looked into Google mail and now Mail trust but I'd like to know if there's any better alternatives.

I appreciate everyones input in advance. I've learned a lot just by reading a bunch of posts here and all input is welcome. Thank You

mosted hosted exchange solutions offer a blackberry enterprise server add on for blackberries.

I did this research also when i was helping start up a new company taht unfortunately never came to fruition. I found taht for groups rates eschangemymail won hands down for its ample storage allowances and also you get a fre sharepoint site.

basically each exchange box will cost ya approx 10-12 a month with blackberry enteprise server being an extra 10 a month (only those who use a blackberry ned the addon).

Feel free to ask if you have anymore questions.

That's a great Idea.

To the Forum Moderators, could you please move this post to the "Business Users Forum". I didn't realize their was such a forum. Thanks and looking forward to more responses.

Thanks Bla1ze. I looked into your link and am just not "turned on" by Exchange anymore. With as many problems as it's had for us, I'd rather look into something else. I'm tired of feeding Microsoft my money.

Anyone else have any ideas???

Depending on which email software you ar running you can try ActiveLink. It's not as good as a BES, but the price is OK, depending on what your needs are.

That's funny, Thanks. Still waiting for 8330 Curve for Verizon. It might be another month though who knows.
