I left my company and they let me keep my phone untill I switched my number to a new carrier. I would like to get all the outlook contacts off of my phone so I can save them and put them in a new phone if needed. How can I do this. I do not want to have to write down all the numbers and email addresses by hand. The phone is with T-moble.
i tried that but it did not work. I think its because the contacts were put on the phone with outlook 2003 and I have an older version of outlook on the computer I am using now
You also need to be sure you have desktop manager configured properly to allow two way sync (from outlook to device and device to outlook). This is done in desktop manager with your BB connected. Open DM->synch->configuration...
You can also sync to an ASCII file. If you save as a CSV (comma seperated values) then Excel will read it directly and so will Outlook.
You should still be able to sync to either Outlook or Outlook EXpress thoug. As some of the post above have said it is a case of configuring the direction of the sync and to which program.
In Desktop Mamger got to Synchronize, Configuration, Synchronoze and the select your options.
