Default facebook emails

I am currently running the facebook app on my 8830 we and have all of my notifications sent to my gmail account. I have my gmail synced to my bb via imap, and this almost works perfectly. I have never gotten any of the emails that facebook sends pushed to my bb. I can check my gmail online and I will have 100's of new messages waiting, but they are all from facebook. Any suggestions to why my emails from facebook aren't pushed down??

the facebook app takes the email notifications and transforms them into app notifications. but unless you check mark the box to not keep the emails on your email server, you will get notifications in both places. maybe im not understanding your question though.

You will not receive the emails on your Blackberry because they are coming through the App instead.

You can try unchecking the "Leave email notifications on server" option, however keep an eye on the notifications you then get on the app. I unchecked this option and stopped receiving BOTH email and app notifications.

It doesn't really matter that I receive both. Let me explain a little better. When something happens on facebook, I get a notification and an email. The notification goes to my facebook app and works perfectly. The email goes to my gmail account. These emails should be pushed down to my phone, but never make it. I can then go to gmail.com and I can see the emails. The problem that I am having is that NONE of the emails from facebook get pushed to my phone. I receive them in my email ok, but they never make it to my pushed email on the bb.

I understand what you are saying. I have the same thing happen with Yahoo. The email doesn't come through to my phone and I have to go into my account on the PC to delete them.

The reason the emails do not get pushed to your phone is because you have the Facebook app installed. If you were to delete the app, they would begin to get pushed to your phone again. Instead of receiving the email notification on your phone, it gets pushed to your phone directly through the app.

This is just the way they have set up the email notifications to work. I don't believe there is away to fix them except for unchecking the "Leave email notifications on server" option.

So you want 2 notifications sent to your phone? 1 through the facebook app and 1 sent to your email messages on your phone? I just like the facebook app handling all the notifications.
