I know this is somewhere on my BB 8310 or on this site, but I have looked all over and can't find it now. So, how do I add an extension on to a phone number in the phonebook.

Do you mean a pause to set up your BB to log into your voicemail, etc. If so, you can add pauses (or waits) from the menu when entering the number.

Add a pause or a wait to a phone number

1. After typing the main part of a phone number in a phone number field, click the trackball.
2. Click Add Pause or Add Wait.
3. Type the additional numbers.
4. Click the trackball.
5. Click Save.

also, a pause will wait 3seconds, while a wait will pause till you click the trackball. if you need more than 3 seconds, you can add 2 pauses, it works well for me!!

Thanks guys, so will this let me just dial from name in address book and it will automatically dial the extension?

Don't know for certain since I haven't used it. You could try it and find out though.

if you use a pause, anytime you dial that phone number, it will automatically dial the extension(from the address book). oif you use WAIT, it waits for you to click the trackball, then dials the next part

It works great when you use speed dial.
