- On reboot, you should now have BBM6.

Confirmed working on:
9800 6.0.0.526 leak

9700 6.0.0.499 (With full .524 Java swap)
9670 6.0.0.522 leak
9650 6.0.0.524 leak
******EDIT I now see the differences after more research...Thanks!! I followed the steps above and it actually shows the new version in my info but I don't really see a difference from the old bbm. Did I perhaps do something wrong or is there not really much difference?

I can confirm that this method worked like a charm on my 2 9780s
You can add it to the compatbility list if you wish
i did the desktop install i cheked my applications and it was there but the app didn't show up so i installed BBID thru the OTA, reboot, and it showed up. Thanks. btw after a few minutes of using bbm i got an email of bbm giving me a code for it did this happen to any of you also?
i can not get the desktop version to work, and the ota version isnt working for me either. i get the icon that wont open, but bbsak and bbmcp cant find the fix file. how do you get them to load the missing files on your device?
I am unable to send pictures to BBM contacts, when I do try send the box is blank. Anyone else having this issue?
i guess you opened your pictures first then chose the option "send to bbm contact" r8?
that happened to me as well. However, if you send the picture from bbm instead of media then it would be ok... so, open your bbm.. open the contact that you want to send the pic to.. then choose send image... then browse the image from there... it'll work..
