i absolutely have to have ecruz's old ubuntu theme he made for the bold. you can still get it from here ECruz Theme Archives - BlueRoomSolution

is there a way to convert this to work on a 5.0 tour? it's possible to download the .cod's to my desktop, would i need those? i know nothing about theme building...

If the theme is for OS 5, your BB is OS 5 (or the same OS Version) and the theme and your BB are both same resolution it will most likely work.
Use BBSAK or BB Master control program to install it.

well i installed it OTA and with BBSAK and neither worked. so assuming the theme is for OS4, how do i convert it to OS5 compatibility?

Unfortunately there isn't a conversion tool for converting a theme from one OS to another. At least not yet.

You're best bet would be to contact the author and ask nicely.

Ha ya....well i have no idea what happened with ecruz, but from what i've glanced at, it was something dramatic. it's been made very clear he's not taking requests, or even supporting current themes.
