I have the iPhone 2+3g. I've had 3 blackberries and now have the Pre. I LOVE this phone!
1) WAY better reception for me on Sprint than AT&T and the iPhone! (Note, iPhone has the apps and a great media player, and if it had better reception, i would've stayed).
2) Multitasking is AWESOME!
3) HTML Emails look beautiful.
4) New App store will make this phone complete.
5) FAR better Web Browser

My only issues with this Pre is that this is my 4th one. Sigh, this is making me second guess it only because of the hardware issues. The keyboard is cramped. My only issues.

Other than that, the Pre is an excellent phone! I'm very happy with it.

I'm glad you didn't have problems with your storm but that os was never made for a touchscreen and that's why a stable one couldn't be built. .148 is better than the previous but still random reboots here and there and severe lag. The os is just not compatible with the phone. I'm sorry but when you use a device that doesn't lag and does what you want EVERYTIME you want, you won't settle for that. My bold works perfectly. Why? Because the blackberry os is perfect for full qwerty and not a touchscreen yet.
I had to retun 3 storms, swapped for a curve and it was much better.

Of course I do love the pre vs. Curve or Storm.

but it's no blackberry!
It isn't a BlackBerry. I think that was what Palm and Sprint were going for. The Pre is better than the BlackBerrys on Sprint. There are other BBs that I believe are the equal to the Pre (Bold, Storm), but it is definitely the best device on Sprint. I would even take it over the Hero.

I am not on Sprint but if I was I would not consider a CDMA only device like the Pre. It would have to be the Tour.

I've had my Pre for about 2 weeks now. Gotta say I still like it. I do miss my email on the blackberry but that is it, and of course that is what BB is known for.

The sad part is that the email formatting is a lot better on the pre...

Refer to any posts people have regarding BB email and html formatting. Overlapping text, image auto downloading rules, truncated emails, etc.

I really hope you're not trying to say that any BB renders emails better than the Pre. My stomach is still hurting from someone saying that BB renders way better than any Android device out on the market.
