Just curious if we could get a few more pictures taken with the device, just to see the picture quality. That would be great!

The Onyx has the same 3.2mp camera as the Tour, it will be the exact same quality.

For any people in the UK wondering, I've just phoned o2 and the only bb they have on their list to come out is the 8520 which is on the 24th August. She mentioned no word of Onyx or 9700, but I bet they say that to all the boys

I have no doubt that AT&T will bring a well-tested product to market. There is always pressure to have the next great device on the market and some phones are rushed out. I would rather BB put fewer models out and simply upgrade current models.

Thats the way it should be. Devices should feature good hardware capability and focus should be on software instead of the next new device. No software will ever be perfect but it can be at least optimized. I'd rather a device be released with a few bugs than constantly pushed back to make it "bug-free", no such thing.

Rumor is there is a HW problem with the devices and a new firmware is expected to fix this next week.

The NDAs do not allow people to be specific about the problem or the nature of it, but could I ask those who are at present testing and observing the issue to post a brief "HW issue fixed/not fixed" when the update is pushed out?

A general question just to know whether or not the launch will be delayed..

    Thank you
I also heard there were some problems in the field testing. Any truth? Will it delay the release?

Does anyone know about the HSDPA speeds for Onyx?
From what i recall there was a limit on bold to 3.6Mbps. How about BB 9700?

Nice news, I love the Bold strength but I favored the 8900 size, this news are a fresh note.

I cant decide on the Onix or the Odin, now.

is it really as small as the curve 8900? I love my bold for many many reasons, but the size is a big one. I have massive hands and the bold just fits so well. I will still totally get a 9700 but it will take a bit of adjusting...

It's abit bigger than the 8900. More like the tour in size, I believe. Someone else posted that info...I just borrowed it! lol!

There are some comparison pics around with 9700 side by side with the other devices, it looks to be very close in size to the 8900 - slightly bigger but much more in line w/ the newer models as opposed to the 9000's size.

No it is not exactly the same size as the 8900. Its a little bigger than the 8900, yet smaller than the 9630.
