So pretty much this is the best of the Bold and 8900 combined? I love it! You guys should stop complaining about minor appearance quirks like the battery door, that can be easily fixed by an aftermarket piece.

I just checked and I'm eligible for an upgrade on 12/20/09, just in time for this phone! Now I'll have to decide if I want this for a Christmas present or if I should wait for an all inclusive touch-screen/full-qwerty/GPS/wi-fi/3G device.

Thank you RIM for putting the charger port on the left side of the phone so I can use the damn thing while charging. That's one of my biggest gripes about the 8900.

Default Thanks for the info

hey thanks PG for the info. Just incase no one has mentioned it, there seems to be a space between the LCD screen and the top bottom and sides of the device. I have noticed most new berries besides the bold have this. It's mainily a design think but maybe if you could mention that it would be great to have the screen go to the edges and not have that space, or atleast to cover it up. Hah it was one of those types of things that bugged me.

It is not the same. From what I understand, the processor in the Onyx is different from the one in the Tour. Tour I think has a Qualcomm processor (most CDMA do) and the Onyx has an 800 Mhz GORILLA! lol! I'm sure there are other differences as well. One obvious one is the trackpad. The trackball on the Tour is bad from what I heard. Lots of users are having their units replaced because of it.

As much as I love my Bold, I have had to prep the girlfriend for my inevitable purchase of the Onyx when it hits AT&T... I won't have a choice but to buy this.
