The question is WHEN! God only knows how long it will take carriers to officially release the OS. I wonder when we start to see leaks floating around. NOW just isn't soon enough!

    It basically IS BB6!
Almost everything seems to tie into the new browser in BB6!

So lets see.....the new 9800 with bb6 will launch sometime this month and knowing how quick ATT is at releasing new OS's, we should see BB 6 for our 9700 sometime in May of next year. Christ, does the 9000 even have an official os 5 from AT&T yet?

Yeah, we'll now be swamped with 10 to 20... "When is %insert carriers name here% gonna release OS 6 for the 9700?"

Just like how they are STILL posting "Is AT&T gonna release OS 5 for the 9000?" threads over in the 9000 forum!

This is definitely exciting great news. NOW I'm wondering if ill have enough space left over for my ever-growing collection of apps - assuming the developers all update for os6 compatibility

No, cause it probably wont work.... considering the resolutions are different.....

Hoping the leaks will come out soon though! If there's a good leak, the carriers might just release it as official quicker.. Ahhh can't wait!

And actually you guys have it "good". Where I'm at, it'll probably take half a year more than you before my carrier gets an official update =\

Are you saying at all, or just AT&T?

I'd say OTHER carriers will have it out around the 6 months mark... but, AT&T will release OS6 for the 9700 just as fast as they have OS5 for the 9000.....

You all realize that OS6 will severely take up room on our 9700s? Anyone willing to upgrade better do a security wipe to clear everything out for this beast.
