yeah, saw it, it's more than "slightly" taller. it's hideous too, no class to it at all. android is the better OS for sure, for the average joe, but the device is just another generic offering from another generic manufacturer... motorola... i think i just threw up a little in my mouth having to write that name.

Yeh I gotta jump on board ad say Fugly is the best word to describe that phone. I would have prefered a side slider keyboard or just touch screen only. I do admire your efforts to stir the pot a bit though

Specs aren't the only thing to look at too. lets see how it function or even yet just runs period.

Kinda like comparing the EVO 4G to the iPhone 4. Specs suggest the 4G should wipe the iPhone but it just dosn't in a lot of area's.

wow. that phone is so ugly.. no offense.. yah rim needs to catch up with the times with some of its hardware.. but at least they make their phones look good. cant say the same for motorola though...

Isn't the 9700 almost a year old? Wouldn't a better comparison have been against the 9780? And yes the specs are great, and the keyboard looks AMAZING (yet strangely familiar) but damn, that thing is ugly. Its not pleasing to the eye, it looks out of proportion, and as someone already said, it looks like a remote control. No go Moto.
