Get an s2 or wait for a better android device. Motorola is sub par with hardware and I wouldn't trust getting a year out of a Motorola device.

I would say the camera issue alone would keep me from getting a Droid. I looked into it and thought about giving it a go but I'm sticking with my S2.

FWIW whenever you ask these kind of questions in a particular devices own forums, you can probably expect to get bios answers. Just my opinion.

You know I really wanna like the Droid. I just spent about 15 minutes playing with one at the VZW store and I like the look/feel of the interface but I don't want to get locked into the CDMA only world. If this phone was also Quad Mode with GPRS like the Storm1/2 then I would probably live with the e-mail quirkiness just because it seems so "cool." I haven't really decided whether I want to upgrade to the Storm 2 now or wait since the next 5.0 OS for my Strorm 1 had really improved things. For the moment I think I will wait to see if there are any interesting deals on Black Friday and if not maybe I will upgrade next weekend.

However, like I said, the dual-mode CDMA only Droid makes it a deal-breaker for me when traveling internationally. Having the Storm data plan (cheap at $10 unlmited for 2 weeks) saved me in Chile when my laptop broke. It was also nice to be able to use e-mail when in China. VZW data plans overseas are great but the phone plans are sub-par. Now I wonder if Skype will work on the Storm soon via Wi-Fi. THAT would be a killer app and might be a way to use the Droid overseas.
