Default Issues with duplicate Vis.VM and multiple contacts

i have tried doing a restore, wireless syncing with Gmail and one way syncing with Outlook and cannot get duplicate contacts off my phone... any options. turned off wireless google sync and tried again to no avail. also having an issue that occured while transfering data from Storm to Storm2, i have two copies on my phone now with the copy from my old phone being the only one that works. i cannot delete the one that came on the Storm2 (selected and greyed). what are my options? thanks much.

Wow bet that took forever! Trying backup then syncing to Outlook and deleting them inside it them restoring them again.

I did the same thing. And, yeah, it took awhile, but it worked. Took a few attempts, too, as I found that my eyes must've gotten a little bleary and I'd inevitably miss a couple on the first (and second) pass. But, once I got all the extra contacts off my S2 and off my desktop contacts I had no problem ... that is until they started showing up again the other day for contacts I'd actually called from the phone, but that's perhaps a topic for another thread.

Good luck.

I have had an on-going problem with my Storm (not Storm 2) duplicating contacts. I delete them and the next day they are back and worse it's duplicated the contact 20 times on my phone. I am currently not syncing with a desktop so my pc is not part of the problem. Help Please
