Default iPhone vs. Storm 2

I currently have the storm, but the storm 2 comes out within 6 months, however based on what i can tell, the iPhone is also coming to vzw. I need some input, I always wanted an iPhone but i was not on AT&T and when the storm came out i decided to give it a try. I love the storm. But i also want an iPhone, I have an i pod and a rarely use my storm for music purposes. If i could have some input from people, that would help a lot...Thanks!!

I love that fact that my schools firewall sucks

I think what its going to come down to is this.

-Battery life (iphone cannot swap batteries)
-Internet (it is unknown if vzw will have compulsatory internet packages)
-Real or Biz user - Iphone is a toy, Storm2 will be a mans phone.

Who told you I phone is coming to Verizon? Anyway storm 2 and palm pre have both been confirmed and I would take either one of those over an IPhone.

depends on what you do. having being a iPhone user at one time I can tell you a few things

when it comes to media

iPhone is second to none. It is a great mp3 player does youtube well. third party applications add a ton of media uses..

as for email...

its not so hot. Its decent it does the job but its not fast by any means..

Syncing ---

on a mac nothing does it better -
on a pc your obviously required to have itunes.. which still works good but kind of a pain if you don't want itunes..

The web browser was the most advanced browser for a really long time and still is great...

but there is other browsers that I feel will beat it..

all in all you have to decide your uses. There both cool phones but cool isn't always the answer.

Even though the Sorm 2 right now is no where near completion, I would say that hands down the iPhone is a vastly superior device.

!!!!!!!!These Blackberry's are just a toy and that is all they are!!!!!!!!

1 Reception in these storms suck (had a windows mobile phone previously that worked just about everywhere, not this storm, and I compared it to other storm owners also so it is the same)!

2 All Blackberry's do not show HTML emails properly at all!!!!!! (Iphone does)

3 If I delete something from my hotmail email on a computer it does not delete on the blackberry! See point 4. (Blackberry says it will work someday???)

4 I can not view my HTML hotmail email from the storm web browser! It shows only text and I have to very hardly use copy and past (takes a long time) (iPhone works, so I would not have to sync email in the first place).

Updates are speeding up the phone but are doing nothing to fix these problems at all to date!!!!!! Actually just creating more problems.
Color banding, Bluetooth problems, etc...

I was suppose to be buying a data phone not a POS that it is!

If there is a browser that does #4 correctly please stand up and post it!!

The iPhone wins hands down in all categories, nothing to date can touch it, I sure hope it comes to verizon next year I will be there!

I don't know how you could possibly ask to compare the iPhone to a phone that not only isn't out yet but also we know very little about.

I had heard it wasn't the iPhone per se, but it was something else fruity,

I had thought it was a sort of half way point between an iphone and that HP netbook they sell, in tablet form.

If they are getting the iphone it depends what you want it for, Apps and media, the iphone can't be beat (right now), everything else and I do mean EVERYTHING else BB has it beat.

This is especially true of email. My office is evenly split between BBs and iPhones. Sitting in meetings when company wide emails are sent is always funny as the iPhone users have to either wait or suffer through asking a BB user what the email says. Sometimes the delay is minutes behind my storm

And on the Seventh day RIM created OS 5.0, but Verizon took so long to release anything that the the good crackberryites turned to the the dark side and did loadeth leaked betas. And RIM wath peeved. And did say, "hey, hey, what do you think you are doing?" And the good crackberryites did say, "Don't judge us we just wanted flick scrolling." And RIM did give them a stern look but secretly thought it wath just dandy.

Blessed be the word of the RIM
