usually when it shows Out Stock is when its status will change from "Active" to "Deleted" meaning stores will no longer be receiving shipments after 10/25...

To me makes Oct 19 likely, due to the fact that they get the new phone in, close ou the last bit of stock they have, and it is a smooth transition, not without a replacement device for storm 1.
I checked today and it did say discontinued in the system today. This is good news! Most of the district is out anyways and it doesn't show any in the warehouse. None of my mobile buddies have gotten anything official though. I told my friend to let me know asap so I can get on the pre-order list lol.
No one knows for sure at best buy, they'll know for sure when iit shows up in the system and has an in-stock date. I know all the mobile people plus the manager well and they don't know. As far as when best buy gets phones, the only "big name" phones recently that they haven't gotten when it first came out was the Sprint Tour and the Iphone. The VZW tour came out on the same day and so did the original storm if I remember correctly.
Ill do another scan through our system tomorrow to see if the 9550 has anything in our system... If for some reason It is in the system, it will show an "In Stock" date but it probably wont be right... The tour "In Stock" was 2 weeks after its actual launch...
ok after performing the daily check waiting for the odin to show up. I came across somthing odd. There is a new listing where the title of the item is called the lg glance however the descriptions in BB storm 9550 for verizon street date 10-25-09. This would not be the first time that BBY has "hidden" a anticipated model under a generic handset.

Reason: *edit* sorry for the format of the post at work have to be hasty
if they discount the price i may slip in to buy it , hopefully the release of s2 doesnt come with to many internal problems with it..
It won't be discounted per se. The difference between BBYM and a corporate carrier store is that BBYM doesn't have mail-in rebates. So lets say the phone came out $199 AFTER a mail in rebate. At VZW you would have to pay perhaps $249 and get the $50 rebate card. At BBYM, you pay $199. Idk about you but I'd rather just go ahead and pay $199.
