Still surprised they:

1. Included "Odin" in the naming
2. Used Storm "II" rather than Storm "2"

Never seen anyone use an internal Verizon product/program names in their merchandise...not to mention getting the II vs. 2 wrong.

I was too, that why I had to ask zook if that is exactly what it said. Odin was a RIM name I was pretty sure, so that kind of ties the gel skin to being a BB product and not carrier specific.

They are branded Blackberry but they are supplied by a company named Superior, IIRC. Dunno if they just make them under license or what.

I just checked all the Future Shop and Best Buy stores in my area (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) and none of them have the storm available according to the online ordering.

Good sign here too then.

Looks like promotions and advertising are all upgraded on Sunday so hopefully we see some stuff tomorrow.

I checked out the Best Buy mobile ad and it runs through October 24th. The mobile section will be updated on the *gasp* 25th */gasp*. Maybe we'll see the Storm 2 at Best Buy then....

I went last weekend to pick up the Storm 1, seeing as how the phone was only 49.99 on start-up of new contract. And they told me Storm 1 was discontinued, I dunno if that means just in NJ where I am or what. But release of Storm 2 has to be close. Dunno if I should be sticking with my Tour, or complaining to Best Buy to get Storm 2. lol....decisions, decisions.
