Post Is your 8520 super slow?

I have an locked 8520 from Vodafone....changed to this one from a 8320....this 8520 is SO SLOW (I close all my apps, no wifi, etc)....is this a common thing on this curve model? I don't remember my 8320 being so slow.... What's the deal? You got this problem too?

When I moved from 8310 to 8520 I thought them to be abou the same 'speed'. Sometimes the 8520 was even a lil sluggish.

Then I started getting OS upgrades on it (now on the leaked 5.0.0.348) and it is rock solid stable, with 130mb free memory and fast as he never was.

I advise you to go to your upgrade the OS on your 8520. The latest official release can be found here. And here are the instructions to OS upgrades.

Good luck!

I have an unlocked 8520 with OS version 4.6.1.272

It worked fine with normal speed. Have you tried to Reset your device (left alt+ right shift+DEL key)?

How much is the free memory available? Check with (left alt+left shift+H), scroll down to see "file free", mine have 102,551,598 bytes.

Last resort, you might want to bring your device to the dealer or shop

HTH

Any OS will do, just follow the instructions on the 101 Lectures for installation.

A battery pull a day keeps the slowness away. Quickpull works well too!

Mine's a speed demon. You must be running too many background apps.
