my phone just shows blank screen and jvm error 517 and am not sure what to do now. have installed the desktop manager and dont know how to go about re installing the software on the phone.. not sure where to go after the application loader option. help

Did this happen after installing an application? What were you doing when you got this error? You may not have to reinstall, just try booting up in safe mode. Pull the batt, put it back in and hold the escape key for about 20 seconds to see if it will boot into safe mode, then uninstall the app.

Bunny - you can try the boot into safe mode and removing the offending app or doing a jl cmdr/bbsak wipe and re-installing.

I would be inclined to do the latter as my worry would be that uninstalling the offending app may not completely remove everything.
