So far no glitches for me I had many problems with .973
EDIT: I'm having an issue with syncing with my Desktop it looks to be with 2 of the 442 contacts I have. It hangs at 440 then I get an error. How do I determine what 2 contacts are the issue?
EDIT #2: on battery pull to see if it would help with the contact sync issue I got the dreaded "Uncaught exception: java.lang.nullpointerexception" just like I did with 973. Looks like I am reverting again.

as long as the update is from the blackberrys update application it should be fine, but if you downloded the update ota from the internet and not from the Advance>wireless update i wouldnt know sounds kinda risky

You can do OTA OS updates, just takes longer.

    I would use a desktop.

Everything seems very snappy. For me, it's a lot better than .1000.

OK just updated my wife's Sprint 8530 she was still on OS 5.0.0.654.
So far what I notice is when I plug it into the wall charger,
the clock doesn't pop up. I checked the setting and have
it set to "Display When Charging". But it just stays on the homescreen.
I did notice that the lighting bolt over the battery
when plugged in, blinks. Didn't notice that before, but then
again, the clock used to show when charging.

I can confirm that my Sprint 8530 still has broken bedside mode when plugged into wall charger. Settings in clock options are correctly set. Plug it into the computer it goes into bedside mode. Come on RIM, this is ridiculous.

Looks like the 'no bedside mode/wall charger' issue that cropped up with .973 is still in this update - had to use the net_rim_bb_clock_lib.cod from .886 to get it corrected.

Also lost the custom icons in bbweather...will work on that fix later.

    ok,

so i just got the chance to update my sprint curve from .1000 to .1030 and it is ridiculously slow, like it will take me 30 minutes to download bbm when it would take me 30 seconds before (in the same exact location in my house)

    Could this be ...

    1) i havent restarted it since the update
2)sprint isnt functioning correctly right now
    3) its buggy and i should downgrade to .1000

    hows everyone elses reception ughh

    I just updated from 5.0.0.654

Only problem I'm having atm is that the battery charge indicator isn't showing the lightning bolt when plugged into a PC.

FYI... Did the OTA update from 973... Didn't lose any data. It does its own backup as a part of the update. I am on a BES, so I wouldn't lose any e-mail stuff for sure.

So, this new Update...what are the big changes or are their only small changes. I haven't noticed any big changes in quite a while on the Updates.

    Thanks!

I downloaded and installed this last night. Still missing my bedside mode, but had no trouble installing. I did a battery pull after installation, so maybe that helped?

well ive done a couple battery pulls and it seems the reception itself is starting to stabilize i believe the problem is with app world itself. just gonna ride it out for a couple days but man im already hoping for another update lol
