oh so i should sign up for a waiting list? luckily for me, i'm in buffalo right now and i have a feeling not many people have even hear of a blackberry tour. the reps still have no clue whats going on. hopefully i'm right. it would be awfully disappointing to not get one

no im not saying you should sign up for a waiting list i didnt even know it existed until 2 days ago unfortunately...i think your pretty safe in buffalo

Watch, I'll show up three hours early and be the ONLY ONE there when the store opens. I'll be perched on the sidewalk with my Kindle and my latte and the cops will mistake me for an ultra-privileged hobo and shoo me away.

I'll be pre-ordering ($50 down to reserve) mine at the Best Buy I work at this weekend. Only problem is I'm work the entire time the store's open on the 12th. Guess my break will be for the Tour.

I can. I don't work in the Mobile department, but my friends over there at my store say we'll have Verizon's Tour on day one. Don't know about Sprint's model

Nope, same for everybody. It's the same way we did pre-orders for the the iPhone 3GS. You put $50 down and receive a $50 best buy gift card upon reservation, which you can then use to buy the phone when it gets released.

Is that one of the pre-paid credit cards like the kind they mail out for rebates? Or is it usable only with verizon directly? If its the latter, then no.

But if you have any BBY gift cards lying around from christmas or birthdays, you can use those for the pre-order down-payment.

I think I'm going to go to the store and use my DH's upgrade (if I can get the Tour) and then sell the one I pre ordered on ebay.....I didn't realize only us tech nerds were aware of the Tour and it's fabulousness!! I thought a lot of people read BGR???

I'm getting there 3hrs early, getting a Starbucks and taking a nap. I'm going to wear some nice heels so the Po's don't shoo ME away!! Hehe.
