I am not having that problem. I have been playing around with it, and it's hooked up to my laptop.

That's one of the first things I noticed when I got it!
As I started to set it up, I thought "man this is warm." ...not plugged into the charger at the time either. We'll see over the next few days.

Its got a Qualcomm 7600 processor in it. Qualcomm processors are well known for the heat that they output. Unfortunately, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

When I had the Touch Pro, the damn thing got so hot that it would stop charging to prevent itself from overheating and it would die right in the middle of a phone call. Thank you Qualcomm for creating such junk processors.

Part of the problem is that the Qualcomm processors are dual core. One core operates the phone and I believe that is at 266 or 233MHz, the other is at 528MHz and operates everything else.

My mom just told me that her Tour is getting hot! So I jumped on CB to see if other people are having the same problems.. she said she had it sitting on her leg, and it was heating up her leg!! Said it got hotter than a laptop.

Is this just a defect or is this going to be just something we have to live with because of the bigger processor?

+1 No issues here although I live in TX and it has been well over 100 so I may be used to it ;-)

Our Curves never ran warm, so this is kinda worrisome to us!!

I ordered my Tour online, so I'm curious to see if mine will have the same problem as hers.

Its going to be interesting to see how hot these things actually get. How many people report it, etc.

I don't get why they can't just put a small heatsink in these things...
