How reliable is Verizon with Pre-ordering?

This is the first time i have pre ordered a phone from Verizon. How reliable are they. Will it arrive by the 14th? Will it definitely arrive? It said somewhere that the order is subject to availability issues if its a hot item.

i'm wondering this too. i'm hesitant to preorder because i don't want to risk not getting my tour, or getting it really late. because after waiting months for this phone, i really don't want to wait any longer than i have to. lol.

unless i'm completely wrong, but i never remembered seeing a preorder for them before
