Default Bell Mobility Tour -- July 17th

Just confirmed... bell receives this on the 17th.

It appears to be $699.95 NO CONTRACT, with a $200 rebate on a 3-year term.

Sorry, when I posted it I was in a hurry on my way out of work. Just wanted to get the release date posted here.

It's $499.95 with a 3 year contract, plus an additional $250 rebate when adding data.

so, $249.95 on 3 year voice & data

and picture attached, best I could do (to show the no contract price:

Smile Bell Tour charges

So if I am in the 1st year with Bell on a 8830, am I going to spend 699.99 on a tour, any subsidizations at all?

Sweet thanks for that! I want to buy from Futureshop, but I might have to start looking at a Bell store!

I wonder if I buy it outright from Futureshop if I can still apply for the Rebate when I put on the 3 year data on it hmmmm

Earlier today I was at the Bell store in the The Promenade Shopping Centre and I was also told July 17th. However later on when I there so my dad could see their dummy model another employee said they are coming in on July 17th, however they might not be sold until the end of the month.

Quick question - does anyone know how the data rebate works as compared to the contract term? I'm currently heading towards the 2 year mark on a 36 month term, so my HUP credit isn't worth very much yet. But the line doesn't have any data on it (I cancelled the feature early last year after I got a work BB) so if I got a Tour, I would have to add a new data plan to the account, something like the BB 35 bundle. Would doing so qualify for any kind of credit?

Just curious. Thanks!

snowkarver: you will need to re-add the data plan in order to get the additional $250 off. In your case, it would be whatever your upgrade credit is, plus $250 off of the $699.95 tag.

Keep in mind, the data credit has not been determined yet, it may not be $250 (bell sometimes does stupid things!)

Is there any pro/cons to buying this phone at Best Buy?

My three year contract has expired and I've made a deal with Bell on a new package with Data. I've been going with no contract waiting for the Tour.
Apparently Best Buy has some program where you pay $10 bucks a month and they will replace your phone if you decide you want to change it. As long as its functioning.

Bell is brutal. My g/f wanted to get the tour hoping it would be sitting at $199 like everywhere else. She'll probably go Bold on rogers instead knowing this now.
