Pretty cool tip as I've just been using the camera focus function to get the light on for a few seconds at best

I was doing the same thing too, but the light would go off after focusing. But this video camera tip works great for a constant flashlight!

This might be a dumb question but will this cause the bulb on the bb to die any faster?

If it dies how easy to replace?

Yes, use of the "bulb" will cause it to die faster. But LEDs last many, many YEARS. Unless the LED is defective, I think you'll have replaced the phone multiple times long before the LED dies.

I don't know specifically what super bright LED is used in the Storm but some are rated for 100,000 hours of use. That's almost 11 and a half years !

ok sorry to thread jack but for some reason it wouldnt let me start a new one. my camera is making doubles of every pic i take. i checked in the menu but didnt see an option to stop this. any ideas?
