I did it using only the DVDFab5 program. I just clicked on "DVD to Mobile" on the left side of screen and had to select "cell phone" for it to recognize my Storm. If you click "PDA" it'll have Palm TX... Anyway it took freakin 5 and a half hours! Don't know if it was my laptop for it being that slow of by me doing the DVD to mobile. I have one lil issue though. When playing the movie on storm it has the words on the bottom or like closed caption/subtitles. Anyone know how to get that off?? Thanks. This is cool!

OK - did it twice, same movie, start to finish and both times got the director voices on the movie. The movie is the Patriot. I read through the prior posts and only see this problem mentioned once with no solution - but after 32 pages I may have missed one.

Can anyone help here?

NEVERMIND I think I found it........... I'm a dope.

Trying to load J.J. Abrams Star Trek however everything is out of order. Made 3 attempts and same results. Is there a work around for this?

Did you rip from a DVD or BluRay, or did you obtain the movie from another source?

Sounds like you didn't extract it correctly from DVD to file. Does the video file you created (not the original DVD) play in the correct order on your computer?

Yeah it plays great on computer, no problems. The source is from the DVD itself, however when I use DVDFab5, the free version, I get issues where chapters are in the wrong order.

I installed the updated Handbrake and i cannot get it to save as .mp4. It always reverts to .m4v no matter what I try. i am continuing to look and see if I can fix it.

Where are/should these folders located. The speed of doing the entire process has gradually slowing and I think its because of said folders.

BTW,
I have not set a path for these files to go to like Handbrake recommends.

Thanks in advance

I've been using DFAB 5 (now 6) and Handbrake for almost a year with tons of success, but ran into the same problem when I updated to the newest version of Handbrake. You just need to make the following adjustments:

Destination: click on “browse” and select your Storm Videos folder (or wherever you want the file to go). Name the movie and save it as mp4. It will appear as m4v in your destination section of Handbrake, so you’ll need to manually rename the end to .mp4

Container: Make sure MP4 is selected. Leave everything else unchecked. (don't check Ipod support) If this changes your file back to m4v, and it should.... just rename it again.

Video Codec: Make sure MPEG-4 is selected. If not, select it. This may make your file name change back to m4v. If so, make sure you rename it to .mp4 again!

You still need to check 2pass encoding, but you won't have the option of 1st pass turbo. I didn't see much difference in the time it takes to encode and my movies come out just as fabulous as before!

This worked perfectly for me, so I hope it works for you too!

That is what DVDFab 6 is for. DVDFab removes the DRM protection.

I have had alot of success using this tutorial. But there have been a few DVDs that no matter what I do I end up with the dang directors commentary. Any ideas how to avoid that?
