Just checked app world and vlingo is there but its no longer free. There asking for 18usd which isn't bad but I was wondering if there is any better (read free) alternatives.

Wow. $18 is steep. Have they done anything to make that version any better or more optimized for the Storm? I loved it at first but really don't find myself using it anymore.

Wow! I just found this app today and downloaded it. Didn't know it used to be free! But, the good news is it does seem to work very well on my storm. It was either that or cut down on my texting! And that wasn't gonna happen! LOL So far,so good!

In 2.0 it was full-featured for free.

When they went to 3.0 they took away voice dictation for txts and emails from the free version and made it a pay option. The pay version of 3.0 doesn't really differ from the free 2.0 version.

I have the free version and don't even know anyone else using Vlingo. I haven't used it much by any means, but I've never had any problems.

Thank you d4rks I had to replace my storm today and I was a little pissed about not being able to send text or email and I was about to buy the 18 dollar version until I figured I'd check good 'ol crackberry

I am a real business user of the storm. We have full Exchange with BES for email and I respond to anywhere from 10 to 100 emails a day from our clients and staff. I found vlingo 2 weeks ago and bought it. Its the best $18 bucks I ever spent. My email time has been cut from hours literally to minutes.

You can get the free version on appworld - that is what I got first. I then paid for it right away and it is by far my favorite 3rd party app.

Ver 3.0 is supposed to support bluetooth headset activation as well. That was one thing that was sorely missing from 2.0.

Does anyone know if Vlingo works better with a bluetooth headset? A friend of mine has it on his BB,but it seems to miss quote him a lot....he has a strong southern accent,so that isn't helping matters any.haha

i got vlingo free on my Storm all i did was went to vlingo and sent myself the sms download text and bam there you go vlingo on ur Storm for "FREE"!!!!!!!
