Default Viigo to add Facebook and Twitter functionality

Looks like Viigo is ready to take over everything. Link below.

Quote:
The latest enterprise upgrade will include enhanced corporate contacts functionality and new budgeting and finance utilities, along with company calendar, training and performance reporting tools. There will also be a free version too. The free version will include new Twitter and Facebook features, as well as the ability to stream audio, though it’s unclear where such audio will come from at this point.

Viigo has a huge issue with eating memory and cpu resources as it is now. Adding social features would just make it worse imho.

Every version of Viigo I have had on my Storm starts to crap out on me after a while. What versions are you all running and are they working well?

Viigo has a huge memory leak. Adding additional features to an app that doesn't work efficiently is not a good idea at all.

I would think the next release would be much improved, seeing as how they haven't updated in awhile. We gotta remember our version is still in beta. Viigo at its core is a truly awesome app.

Adding the facebook and twitter integration will prompt people to want to run it in the bg. They have to make it run better if that's the case.

viigo doesnt have a memory leak...if you set up the app to keep updating in the background then of course it will keep using memory
set it to never run in the background and to never update automatically and it will have no "memory leak"

I'm glad you mentioned this... I was going to say the same thing... I don't see any memory leak with Viigo. I do notice after I have exited out that I have lost a couple MBs of memory, and it doesn't seem to come back, but I believe that is one of the issues the older OS versions have... that the phone doesn't recover memory as it should. And I don't continue to lose any memory once I have closed Viigo down. It is definitely not enough of a problem to make me stop using it. I think it will be great once it includes these new things, and podcast support.

the few MBs that you lose may just be the cache in viigo ...empty that after your session to reclaim a few MBs if you need it

Cool... I'll try that out. Like I said, not a huge issue, but thanks for the heads up.
