Default Smrtguard location

I bought this app tonight. It seems to work great except that the dashboard map looks confusing to me. It shows two locations with a blue line between them. My real location is not near the two pins on the map. My location is right at the end of the blue line, nearest the red pin.

If I use Googlemaps on the phone, it shows my exact location so it's not a GPS issue with the phone.

This is what the map looks like:

The pink pin with my "approximate location" is way off. This location is about 80 miles away from where I am:

If I zoom the map near the red pin, my actual location is the end of the blue line on this part of the map. The red pin showing my "gps location" is also off the mark:

I installed the app yesterday and am having the same issue as you Carlos. I was going to call Smrtguard tech support on Monday so I will post any helpful info I receive from them.

Update. It looks like my issue may be related to using a Verizon Network Extender at home. While at work, my location is pretty accurate (about a block away - can't get a GPS signal at the office).

However, at home, it shows my location about 80 miles away. If I turn off the VZ Wireless Network Extender and reboot the phone, my location is no longer shown 80 miles away. It's still off (a few miles), but much closer. Point is, the wireless extender is affecting the results in a big way.

Default SmrtGuard and Verizons Network Extender

Good day sir's,

Yes we have encountered such issues regarding Verizon's network Extender tapping into our tracking option on the dashboard map, a knowledge base article will be posted on our support site informing Verizon customers and others using such devices, we also would like to thank you for posting this information and confirming our suspicion about the Network Extender.

I know I get the same issue on Bell's network. But I think the issue is google/Bell thing as GPS is based on the cell towers and not your actual GPS. Can you confirm this smrtguard?
