I just sent them a email expressing these concerns. I would love to have one as well.

I doubt it's anything related to the FCC considering Playboy Radio is part of the channel lineup.

The FCC has nothing to do with it. It's a paid service, not free for anyone to tune in over the air. Not like the app will work without having a paid subscription to either Sirius or XM.

I wish there was an app to listen to this whenever. I use Orb but its a pain to use. Half the time I cant do anything if my PC went to sleep. The wake up almost never works for me.

I think the blocking 100 and 101 is probably an apple thing. I know they are working on some kind of parental controls or something like that.
For example, Jackie Martling has an Iphone app but he mentioned they can't curse yet until apple works out the parental controls.

What people and Sirius Xm fail to realize is that Stern is not in the business of Satellite Radio, Sirius XM is in the business of Stern. They had ~600k subscribers when he signed on and had approx ~15 million before the merger and he is the sole reason. Once Howard leaves, which I hope is never they will go belly up in a heartbeat. In a very recent survey, 60% of subscribers listen solely to Stern. I am one of them.
As for blocking 100/101, that is ridiculous. The app is pointless without all the talk radio. If smart phone users want music, they will use Pandora, Slacker, etc... | Except I used to listen to Howie back in the day. Howie (now) sucks compared to Howie (then) . He gets a lot of credit. No doubt. But nowadays he is just painful to listen to. Just my .02

I sent them 2 emails months back when this was first announced that they were going to do it. They pretty much blew me off. I got Sirius because of Howard. I have listened to him since he was in DC. Unfortunately, I am getting fed up with Sirius. I have been trying Slacker and it seems to work great for everything I need except no Howard which I am torn about. The idea of paying for Sirius Internet is getting me upset as well.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | I partially agree. Back in the DC 101 and NBC days Howard had a lot to prove, so he was outrageous, over the top, made all the guests squirm and it was great. Now that he is a proven commoditiy he sits back a little and lets Artie, Richard, Sal and some others do the dirty work. I don't have a problem with that. He still makes me laugh every day. IMHO, the show as a whole is better than ever. When my boss started working 25 years ago he worked his *** off in all the details. Now he sits back and while the product is just as good, he lets all of us do the dirty work. Hail to the King of all Media.

Don't forget the love for Special Delivery though man! | Weird Medicine FTW!
I'm gonna stay out of this conversation...you Howard fan bois **** me off...
It's also not about the language because O&A, RawDog, and others are on the app.
If the merger never took place, XM would have been just fine, it was Sirius that was pushing the merger because they lost so much with 100 and 101
What was Howard talking about today? What's the big guest? Oh, thats right...
O&A was live with Bill Burr as 3rd mic as sweet Lil' Jimmy is in West Palm Beach

I bought Sirius for Howard Stern and it would be great to listen to his channels without jumping through hoops (Orb-Usirius, etc) but our time will come.
I am more fed up over the constant increase in rate and charges from SiriusXM. I just go an e-mail toady about the new Royalty fee. I realize this comes from the government but come on already! It's just satellite radio. It isn't a friggin yacht or vacation home for crying out loud!
As Howard Stern being the reason Sirius "had" to merge with XM. Sirius knew what they were getting into with Howard and his $500 Million contract. The fallout of the auto market is what put the company in the comode. That would have happened whether the two companies merged or not and may have put one of the two out completely. Have a great day!!!
