GPS still does not work. I really really really hope they fix this soon. BBMaps is awesome but just not as feature rich. Satellite view, street view and traffic are a must.

When you click on the link for latitude it will take you to a blank screen that if you wait for a few seconds it will turn into the download screen.

Although GPS does not work, cell triangulation seems to work better. I'm not sure if the reception in my area has just gotten better or the App is more accurate, but I do see a difference here.

We are aware it works on the 9500. It doesn't work on the 9530.

Wow, when it rains it pours. First .99, then Viigo, then Slacker, and now Google Maps/Latitude. All of my most used apps, only waiting on BeeJiveIM now. Excellent, thanks OP.

I am liking the latitude feature, one less app to have to install/wait for (Loopt). Installed version 3.0.0 just fine.

It uses cell tower triangulation to get your position, hence why it is less accurate than GPS positioning.

Well, aside from the addition of Google Latitude, not much has changed from the previous version of Google Maps. I think the "Reviews" section has been enhanced a little bit and the fonts for some of the menus are a little bigger. Other than that it's basically the same. I wish the smoothness of the scrolling would be improved a little bit and a double-tap zoom would be nice too.

There is another thread that has unlocked GPS or aGPS lock time on to a satellite, would that have barring on how google maps and this new google latitude would then interact with Verizons 9530?
