For me the biggest inconvenience of the Storm's new touch screen configuration is the inability to quickly lock and unlock the screen using the lock key at the top of the storm and the lack of an auto screen lock option for when a call is connected. If this is the case for many storm users, it should be made a priority for the Storm OS development. Maybe a poll would be convincing.

For now StormLock helps some.

Pheta, i did get it now... just got it about 5 minutes ago. So it definitely wasn't instantaneous. I'll install it tomorrow. I want to take of TALKLOCK first.

Anyone know if it will cause any issues if i installed it without uninstalling TALKLOCK.

I haven't bought this software but I absolutely love how "clean" the interface is.

TalkLock (or whatever the other one was) was so gaudy that I refused to even try it. lol.

Just downloaded this App. Took me about 2 min from the time I bought it to have it downloaded and working on my phone. Tried a couple calls to see how it worked, and it worked flawlessly. Great Job guys. Thank you.

Anybody else have an issue where the phone doesn't unlock immediately after a call ends. I had to hit the return key to disengage the lock.

This happened to me once after I ended a call immediately after connecting. I've been trying to
make it happen again, but can't get it to stick if you will, so I didn't chalk it as error. Great app!
Does it happen to you often?

I've had it for about a day now and it's soo much better than talklock.Well worth 2 bucks. And my phone seem to work better and the battery is lasting longer as well.

This application is much better than TalkLock.

While TalkLock is free, it
  • Shows as an application running on the Storm
  • Eats more memory when in use
  • Has a 3-5 second delay before it "kicks in" on a call
  • can be unlocked by your face sliding across the screen (you don't have to slide the slider, anywhere on the screen will do)
  • has a customizable background that the cellavant logo is still plastered on

StormLock is tremendously better because it
  1. fully integrates with the Storm's OS
  2. is controlled through the Storm's option menu
  3. fires up instantly on a call, with no delay
  4. is super-light on memory
  5. looks like a part of the OS
  6. is less prone to accidental unlocks
Best $2 I've spent on the Storm.

Ok, so I decided to go ahead and buy it since everyone seemed to like it. So far it looks like it's working more or less like it's suppose to, except for one thing.

I decided to test it out by calling my voicemail. So I dial 1, and StormLock activates as it should. Then it hit Back to deactivate it, plug in my password, then go into menu to reactivate it. At that point it re-locks, but it brings my keyboard up with it. Not a huge problem since I don't think the keyboard does anything, but I'm pretty sure that's not suppose to happen. Anyone have any ideas?

Running .75 on VZW, by the way.

EDIT: Just did a battery pull, and I'm letting it reboot. Maybe that'll fix it.

EDIT 2: Nevermind, I figured it out. Keyboard was coming up because I was already on the keyboard from when I put in my password. When navigated away from it, then StormLocked, it worked fine.

+1 to everything you said. Well worth the 1/50 of my monthly phone bill. (although it should have been included in the Storm OS to begin with)

kick *** app.

and yes, it definitely SHOULD have been in the OS from the start, but hey, it wasn't. blame RIM for that one, but in the mean time, this fills the void.
