For anyone interested, InstaMapper has a storm compatible version out now. Its a tracking application that maps your tracks online like GPSed. A lighter program than that, but I like it better thus far.
Pulling it down now. Been playing with GPSed a bit and found it to be useful. Sampling was a bit strange though. I'd use it walking the dog, have a bunch of waypoints where you'd expect, then a bunch of non-existent sample points, and the accuracy wasn't that great.
A little side plug - GPSBabel is a great conduit for pulling the routes off and dropping it into google earth, etc.
i will use this when I go on long rides or runs so my wife can see where i am and know about when i will be home.
So she can kick me out in time? JK!
I'll be using it for sail boat racing, so that I can plot my waypoints, and when I get home, extract the data and overlay it into Google Earth and see how the terrain impacts the windshifts. Where we race, the land is quite hilly and the river has a lot of bends in it.
Granted, I haven't been outside yet to capture anything, I'm assuming that the offering is somewhat similar to GPSed.
It also doesnt allow you to run this application while doing anything else, for me atleast. The program has to be running and if you try to do anything else, it shuts off.

Hmmm...I'll have to check that out. I'd like to run that, music and Garmin all at the same time.
