I think there's a bug in the new BBM 5.0.0.33. Maybe some other Storm owners can verify.

Open BBM, then touch/highlight a contact. Now try to touch the "Contact Profile" (the one w/ blue circle around an 'i').

Mine jumps down the contact list like it's scrolling down the list, when it gets to the last (bottom) contact, the button 'highlights' and then I can click it to see the contact info. If I highlight someone in open Chats, I can touch/click this button no problem, no jumping. Otherwise I have to highlight contact, then BBkey, and select contact info that way.

My device: 9530, OS 4.7.0.167. Seeing if this is an OS or BBM issue.

Edit:
Did some more experimenting: if my contact list is scrolled down so that the last contact is shown, it doesn't jump and I can select the blue button on any contact visible. If I scroll up the list so the last contact is hidden, it jumps down as described above.

I don't have that problem. I can highlight any one of my contacts (under "conversations" or under their "category") and press the middle "my profile" button and it will take me to their profile.. maybe it's your OS? That seems to be the only difference between our phones..?

Screen is not hard to click. I think I've been lucky and have one of the "good" storms.

Actually the same thing happens with Google Talk. At first I thought GTalk wasn't working with the .167, but now I'm wondering if its the leaked OS's.

I have this issue as well. In addition, my BBM does not acknowledge screen clicks on any of my contacts or active conversations, and doesn't respond to clicks of the Menu key when the highlight is on a contact (it responds when the highlight is on myself at the top of the screen, or on any of the other portions of the screen). Which is kind of a pain in the rear because I can't open any active conversations or start new conversations. Battery pull doesn't fix. Odd, because it didn't do this when I first installed BBM; it just started a few minutes ago. I'm on OS 4.7.0.151, and in all other respects my Storm is still running fine.

I had this problem before with the leaked bbm. Solution redownload and it will work.
