| | who cares when people ditch their BB for an iPhone
It seems everyone gets their panties in a bunch when people jump ship for an iPhone. Why?
They aren't hurting you any well unless you work for rim or Verizon. Let up already!

There is just a lot of emotion invested in the Storm, I suppose. It actually does seem like certain people feel betrayed when others leave it (especially for the iPhone), as though they feel that if they've been able to put up with the Storm's flaws since launch day, why can't everyone else?
Of course, it doesn't help matters when the iPhone fanboys come in exclaiming that their phone is the greatest thing since sliced bread, either. Both phones are good. Neither phone is great. Each has its problems. People just need to pick the one they like best, and allow everyone else to do the same.

And to OP its not that they care that your leaving to iphone, its more when you feel you have to announce it while putting down everyone who has the storm and bragging about a phone they haven't gotten yet....its like the way they announce it is immature. I have only seen one thread where someone posted their leaving for another phone and didn't put down the storm. Instead said what he did like and didn't like about both phones, and clarified that one fit his current needs more.

I have to agree with OP. There are certain people who react to someone switching g to the iPhone as if they had just announced that they were dating there sister/brother and were going to do them harm.
This is a forum and as such should be open to all comments/opinions.
Foe instance. If I were to say "my storm SUCKS" I would probably be told that I an !dĦot or that I have user error or that I'm noteworthy to own a smart phone when in reality all I was doing was venting...because really...sometimes....more often than not...my storm sucks.
I am enjoying these iPhone vs. Storm posts lately because they bring out a lot of emotion and makes for great debate..I just wish the mods would let them run their course a bit more because they do get interesting.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | I agree these forums should be let to run out more because when people bump heads its better for them to finish it out in that thread rather than close the thread and let it carry on into other threads.

Well, I'd prefer those types of threads to be allowed to run their course as well, but not for any benefit of the "debaters" within them.
My reasons are far more selfish. I'm just a bastige that loves chaos, finds immense entertainment in those threads, and enjoys many laughs while reading them.

At least you fess up to wanting to hold on to the last method of trolling that slips past the mods because they are now drenched with civil overtones instead of cussing and throwing out insults.
So the troll mind their tongues and wear perfume now... But they are still trolls none the less. What else is happening when somebody pops into the forum and says "good day mates... Afraid. I have to go walkabout, no worries, won't be back....."
....Only to return, say, 8 more times to keep talking about how bad the phone is. A blindman could see it in a minute.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | Look, I hang out here. I help out when and where I can (admittedly, this isn't very often because I'm still learning the intricacies of Blackberry as well, but I try), but I will not deny getting enjoyment out of watching people get all bent out of shape over the most ridiculous things. And I'm certainly not the only one. Why do you think Jerry Springer was so popular (though that show was too painful for even me to watch)?
Getting bent out of shape over a phone-- any phone--is ridiculous. Blind loyalty to a brand-- any brand--is ridiculous.
Sure, perhaps posting nonsense on a forum is just as ridiculous. I'll not deny my part in that either. But, the beauty of this forum is that you only have to read the items you want to read. When you see a thread titled "Storm Suxxxors; iPhone is da bomb," or others similarly titled, ignore it. What's more, there is still the option to ignore users. In each user's profile is the option to ignore that user.
I, on the other hand, will click the thread title every single time because I love watching them disintegrate into phallus-waving and flames. If that is a form of trolling, then so be it. I use the internet for entertainment purposes every bit as much as I do informational.
