I've been through every OS update, every workaround, every hybrid.. Pulled that damn battery hundreds of time, if not thousands, and had my phone crash under every single circumstance imaginable. It was a crack addiction.. Just one more HIT.. ONE MORE OS UPDATE! And this phone will work LIKE ITS SUPPOSED TO!!

Still the dream of having 3G Coverage under verizon was something I had to persue..

The storm was barely functional as a phone - pathetic as a media player, a sub-par browsing experience, and I wouldn't touch that camera with a 10-ft pole.

After two days with the Droid it's amazing to have that safe feeling of knowing.. MY PHONE WONT CRASH.. Things work as they are supposed to.. and above and beyond that its everything storm users have been begging for and wishing was in software update after update after update..

I'm never worrying about free memory, always have 10+ applications open at the same time, and my phone is nothing but an absolute joy to use. I look forward to any opportunity to pop its screen on.

My sincere message to anyone caughtup in the blackberry game, GET OUT!! Too much energy has been devoted to this black-hole of a device.. Stop wasting your energy and trade up to a device that gives back to you..

Goodbye CrackBerry!! IM OUT!!!! FOR GOOD!!!

If anyone sympathizes now is probably the time to trade out.

I don't understand the bolded parts. These type of contradicting statements is what causes credibility problems and makes most droid supporters seem like fanbois.

Just sayin

Default Motorola

Sure the android OS is ok but what is important is the phone is a motorola which means poor quality hardware or voice. I remember the razer and the hello moto and everyone went crazy over these phone and later found out it was crap. I gave up on moto phones about 8 yrs ago and I am not going back.
Good luck man...they ruined the phone with the crap slide out keyboard.

I mean, waking up and finding alien parasites half way through devouring your genitalia, that's not as bad as having a Blackberry Storm? How about terrorists slowly peeling off all your skin to get you to talk because they don't believe you really don't know the location of their missing illudium q-36 explosive space modulator? Seems pretty bad, but still not as bad as a unsatisfying phone?

No, I think i'd rather have my skin slowly pulled off vs. another year of that friggin sloppy cold wet rain STORM ...

Nope - The droid has way better voice quality than the Storm-

Speakerphone is lightyears better as well.

But most importantly the voice delay is about half what it was with the storm.. The Storm had sloppy voice processing on the phone that slowed transmission.

Wow, this matt guy must really dislike the storm. Sorry bro that you had a bad phone. I guess with as many of these phones that were produced, there were a few bad ones. And with all of the downsides you mentioned with your phone, i have not had one with mine. Good luck with the droid, and their forums

I love my storm..I got the newest version of OS and it works like a dream. Its definitely a step up from my curve 8300. A lot of people are getting discouraged in these posts......I certainly was. My only gripe is the keyboard. I love to type fast and sometimes its hard to do that..It took me a long time to get used to it..but otherwise, Iove it. When you go buy any blackberry, ask them to put the latest update on it. If you do, they will. Its a great improvement. Don't get discouraged, I Certainly did. But I got it anyways, and I couldn't be happier.

Yeah, that storm was a bucket of butth0le.

It's not the few bad phones.. It's the poorly designed operating system, it's the egotistical ways of RIM that have no problem releasing a product that doesn't even function in the same way they portrayed in the commericals, it's the total lack of functionality, it's the cursed piece of kitty **** that im happy to have flushed down the toliet.

I mean look at all the subject threads in these crackberry forums..

MY EMAIL DOESNT WORK MY PHONE DOESNT WORK BATTERY PULL .324 is BETTER THAN HYBRID .3146471231, WHY DOES MY PHONE SMELL AT NIGHT, COLOR BANDING UP MY ****, WHY CANT I WATCH A VIDEO, etc..

MAN that was a POS...

Droid does what it says it does.. point blank. I have a friggin life, i don't need to be on discussion boards trying to get my phone to function in the way IT IS SUPPOSED TO.

Droid = total amazing device that gives back to you..

LATER STORM YOU SUCK

$Matt

I can understand being frustrated with a phone, but man to bash a company who has released a better Storm the second time? Ok we get it. Storm was not for you, but it doesn't mean it is crap to everyone else. Enjoy your new Free Droid and I hope all goes well, or I am sure we will see you back here with your new S2.
