That really sucks that you've had 5 phones. Personally, I've had mine since the day it came out with absolutely no issues.
I've said this countless times and I'll say it again, if I want some of the function and "look" of the iPhone, it doesn't mean that I want an iPhone. Case Closed. If that makes me a child, so be it. That makes you a tool if you truly believe in your initial statement because it carries no logic whatsoever.
Um, No. No I don't. The phone has performed as expected. Sure it could run a bit quicker here and there but it gets the job done and it will only get better.
So let me get this straight. If I love my Storm, that means I am a kid and I secretly need an iPhone? You are too much.
BTW, I've probably done 2 or 3 battery pulls in 5+ months of ownership. Use Quickpull scheduler nightly and everything is good to go. |
5+ months of ownership?!?! Really?!?! Lyk3 0mG3ZzZzz that's awesome cause lYk3 I thought the Storm came out in November!! Which means it hasn't even been out for four months. 0mG3zZ.

Also with a large number of complaints from Current and past Storm users on these forums, its pretty evident that this Blackberry phone is one of the worst phones available.
I don't see any complaints on the 8900, bold, curve and other phone forums, at least not to this magnitude...
Heh.

The Storm is far too unreliable to use for most businesses.
The iPhone could be considered a toy if all you put on it is games. But there are literally thousands of very useful business applications that make it a very solid business device. The people here often talk as if the iFart is the ONLY application on the iPhone, yet it was one of the FIRST applications for the Storm.
The worst part about some of the Storm users here is that they are hypocritical. They say the iPhone is a toy, but as the OP posted, beg for iPhone like functionality and applications.
I'd say until we get a SOLID OS for the Storm, it's no better than a toy to beta test. | Your missing out. I use the Storm for business and can't live without it. I sympathize with those with hardware issues. None here fortunately. I am a sys admin and a programmer and use email heavily. The device works perfectly for all my needs.

I upgraded from a Motorola RAZR2 dumbphone. I've had my original Storm since release day. Hands down, the best device I have ever had and it has revolutionized how I use and think about my phone. I was running .75 until last week when I upgraded to .109 last week (more out of curiousity than anything else). At this point, I could not visualize being without this phone. Sorry you have had such problems.

So now you HAVE proven that I hate my phone! I'm so stupid.

Try Again. | Not a lie. What do I have to gain?
Care to enlighten me and tell me what a battery pull will do that QuickPull will not? Just did a battery pull to try it out and I actually ended up with .2MB less than after I did the quickpull 20 minutes earlier.

I have had my storm since day one as well as, these products within the first 2 months of production,
Blackberry Phones:
Blackberry 6710 (With the great big screen and a fast processor!)
Blackberry 7210 (My first color phone!)
Blackberry 7750 (Which had the large vibrant screen and even faster processor, I thought blackberry wouldn't be able to top it!)
Then I switched to Verizon Wireless and met the best combination,
service and reliability!
I got the Blackberry 8703e (no words for this thing everything got better, just like all the other models!)
Blackberry 8830 (silver)
Blackberry 8330(Curve)
Blackberry World Edition(silver)
and i had the 5810 the Inter@ctive Pager, from DataTAC
so if you think I don't know blackberry, you should, try again.
Now that's good for you that your storm has been doing well. But like most people I try to find a use for my phone, other than making phone calls, if that's all I needed I would stick to... god knows whats out right now, I am a blackberry user since a long time ago and im not going to change that, but when a product is crap, I am not afraid to state the obvious, and honestly if YOU LOVE IT SO MUCH... good for you but there are plenty of people that use their phones for business, not for pleasure.
Thank You
DArkW1sh

DArkW1sh | Your arrogance is astonishing.
So you are telling me that because I like my phone and I don't have any huge problems with it, I must not do anything with it other than make phone calls? In addition, I must only be using it for pleasure because it's impossible for it to be used for anything else?
Why again haven't you just stopped using it? Why don't you just revert back to one of your older models?

I just fell into that category of user who really did have a lot of issues with the battery pulls, dropped and poor calls, etc. It wasn't my fault. I know so many claim to have had the opposite experience, but I am not fortunate enough to be among them.
