Default Die Surepress! Die!

After months w/ the Storm and many years w/ Verizon, I'm done.

I believe I may have had the absolute worst experience over the phone w/ Rep Cal and Sup Brad the other day. Whereas Cal wanted to set me up w/ a replacement for my screen and dust issues, Brad told me it's perfectly normal to have DUST UNDER A SCREEN OF A PHONE IF YOU LIVE IN A SANDY AREA.

I was polite and Cal actually mentioned perhaps I should look into the Tour when it's released here soon, but again Brad said a PHYSICAL QWERTY WOULD STILL HAVE KEYBOARD LAG ISSUES. We would then be disconnect (perhaps because it was getting late), and of course no call back was received from Brad.

I'll go to my local store where the manager's always been much cooler to me than any phone rep and see what they can do, but if I end up paying the ETF and selling my Storm so be it. I'm not looking for a free phone or a hand out, just wanna get away.

Both Sprint and Tmo will save me some nice bucks wo/ loss of service quality here in PHX, so now I need to decide on a Pre or a G1! Both have slide out HW QWERTY's w/ touchscreens w/ wifi and that should more than satisfy my super browsing needs.

I will miss Crackberry though! You guys have been great!! :'(

I would say go with the G1. I had t mobile before, but they do not work at all at home. I would sit in the car to have a conversation, and this is IL! its cold in the winter. Verizon can go to **** as far as I am concerned. So go to the G1. Great phone

You could get a Tour on Sprint. But both the Pre and the G1 are the best of both worlds touch AND hardware keyboard. Make sure to check out our sister sites Android Central & Pre Central.

the g1 seems much better in quality, the pre seems like its a piece of plastic waiting to be snapped. Shame too because it looks like a **** of a phone

I got a Pre! And for $100 bucks no less.

Yes, it feels a little weak compared to the tank that is the Storm and the speakerphone's much worse as well. But the keyboard, wifi, cards, and PERFORMANCE have already lightened my stress load dramatically. Not to mention it just feels perfect in my hands.

The screen's so well integrated into the phone, I sometimes pick up the back of it and wonder why my display doesn't light up...only to see a faint glow on my hand and realize I'm holding it backwards.

So far the service seems ok, both in quality and coverage. Time will tell if this holds true for most of the valley. I'll be getting together w/ some G1 and Iphone guys later in the week for a more thorough comparison, but so far I'm super happy.
