Default i love my storm :)

iv had my storm for about three months. at first i was pretty dissapointed with its performance (lag, random resets...) i didnt upgrade my os to a leaked one because i was affraid to screw up my storm. i looked into it more and realized that the guys on this forum could get me out of pretty much any problems. so i put .113 on there and it was night and day. the performance was 20 times better over all. i have since gotten every leaked os and been happier (for the most part) with every update. i am currently on the .114 hybrid v3 and love it. my only complaint is that the camera is kind of glitchy, picture quality is still great though.

This has been my first blackberry so of course I have absolutely loved it.

Not sure if I would like another blackberry more or not though, guess I will have to see.

Why do some seemingly have so many problems, while others have little to few problems? I've had my Storm (original) since release day on 11/21. With only a few minor issues, I have no real complaints. I have been running .75, my battery life is, at a minimum, 1.5 to 2 days with moderate to higher use. My biggest problem, which seems to have resolved itself, was the voice dialing feature which would freeze, but haven't had that happen in over a month and I use it a dozen times a day, every day. I use "Quick Pull" --more out of "I think I oughta" than anything else, -- about twice a week. I boot up at about 43 MB memory, which runs down to about a low of 23 MB after a couple of days. Call quality is fine, no complaints. I get annoyed with the phone switching to "mute" or "speaker" during a call and I guess I'll install Storm Lock to resolve that. I have only used video a few times and that did hang up once about 30 seconds into the recording. My camera is "fair" I'm not terribly impressed with image quality, but given that I am a professional photographer, I am not surprised. I have seen better from other phones though.

I should add that I switched to the "Appleberry Glass" theme about three weeks ago. That too has been working great.

I seem to have very little lag, typing is fine, accelerometer is ok, but I can see room for improvement in that department. I can count on one hand, the number of app problems I've experienced (i.e., freezes/crashes).

So...I don't get it? I really feel skeptical when I read these things.

Aside from one random hiccup/reset that made me miss a conference call, my Storm has been rock solid.

Seems to me the majority of people who've owned a blackberry before don't like the storm.

One the other hand those that are new to BB like the Storm ... (because they don't yet know how well the other BB's can work )

Not worst ever, but still pretty bad. Probably at least in the top 1000 worst phones ever.

I think that half the people who said they never had a problem and can't agree with my 3 posts in this thread are either lying or in denial

Although there hasn't been an official update since .76, that doesn't mean there haven't been improvements. There have been a plethora of beta OS updates that have addressed a majority of the known issues. Also, looking at the poll taken on this forum, looks like a majority of users have little or no problems with their storms. It is just that we have a very vocal minority who are dissatisfied with the product as well as non-owner trolls who enjoy spending their time complaining.

Makes me wonder how different your opinion would be without the illegally "leaked" OS's. Yes...they are illegal and someone would loose their job if caught doing it. Everyone would be stuck with .75 which does work but is just not as fast.

I HAVE to agree the Storm is by FAR the worst phone ive ever had, ive had it since it came out and CAN NOT WAIT until i can upgrade to a completely new phone...and i have one main reason i so confidently say it is the WORST PHONE EVER.. i CANT ANSWER CALLS. I am actually on my 5th Storm due to problems with the past ones, but all have a common problem...i go days with not being able to answer calls because i locks up as soon as one starts coming in. Im ranting today because im having meetings with companies all day and IVE MISSED EVERY SINGLE CALL IVE RECIEVED TODAY because of it locking up, so im a little PISSED. Some might say other phones are worse for other reasons, but i ask, "does that phone let you answer calls"...the very core capability of a Phone, if you can answer yes...than that phone is better than the Storm. Its pretty bad when people who know me KNOW not to expect me to answer right away, and that theyll get a call back n a few when my phones rebooted. Whew, needed to get that out for a while, BB youve obviously gotten in over your head trying to compete with iPhone when in doing so your competing phone cant even perform the basic function of a phone.

Did that make sense?

I love this above post that was written in March..

Ahhh, the faith we've all had... for nothing.

Default The fall of blackberry and RIM

I have been having blackberry storm for over 6 months, little recap on my decision, I did have an Iphone earliar but an amazing dull ATT connection, a mountain of dropped calls and a friendly advice from my boss, change your phone or we change u.

I switched to verizon wireless bought the storm, funny thats was one f**ed up storm.People Blackberry has lost the mobile phone race not because I am frustrated with the phone, but the fact that they got left behind in the smart phone race.

I am waitting for another release of a bug free OS, even if they had a release which could teleport me from point A to point B without hangin in between, I don't have access to the thousands of apps google and apple have to offer. I agree Blackberry once ruled the earth and walked tall, I guess that was onve upon a time and they are becoming the "Neanderthals" of the industry.

Considering the phone has too many features that the physical hardware can't handle can handle and the fact that, they look super fugly. The momemt I started using my storm I felt like getting teleported, like in the back to the future movie were the past looks absolutely retarded.

So here is my final verdict, my Blackberry days are over and I am switcing to a google phone and I will not buy a stock from these companies and I ll send my phone to BB folks they can shuve the phone up their ***, you probably get better coverage.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Peace fellows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
