Okay heres the deal download and install .114 also have .109 handy you will need both
you will need to grab the following files out of the 109 java folder
    net_rim_bb_virutal_keyboard_library.cod
    net_rim_bb_virtual_keyboard.cod

put them in the .114 java folder and load the OS so far so good.
With the help of spaciorek, here is a permanent fix.

    1. Download and install Crackutil
    2. Download .cod files Zip File
    3. Unzip and drop the net_rim_bb_virutal_keyboard.cod file in the directory C/Program Files/Crackutil
    4. Right click on Crackutil desktop icon, and select "Run as Aministrator"
    5. Select FILE MANIPULATION - INTERMEDIATE
    6. Select Load File to Device
    7. Navigate to and select net_rim_bb_virutal_keyboard.cod.
    8. Let the phone reboot and your keyboard problem is fixed.

And for those of you that have problems with connecting to Crackutil, this will do the same.

    1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9530-v4.7.0.114\Java.
    2. Delete net_rim_bb_virtual_keyboard.cod.
    3. Open apploader. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Loader
    4. Run loader. (not sure, might ask to downgrade. Click yes.
    5. Phone should load .114 and reboot with errors. Don't worry it's fixable.
    6. Now go back to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9530-v4.7.0.114\Java.
    7. Copy and paste in the .109 net_rim_bb_virtual_keyboard.cod.
    8. Go back to Apploader C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Loader
    9. Run loader again.
    10. You should now have your keyboard fixed.

    NOTES:
    1. The zip folder also contains net_rim_bb_virtual_keyboard_library.cod. It was originally thought that this file also needed overwritten, but later was found to not be necessary.
    2. Vista users make sure you install Crackutil as Administrator and change Compatability to Run this program as an administrator.

    **Disclaimer**
If you do not feel comfortable with ANY of these steps DO NOT ATTEMPT, as this is altering you OS and can brick your phone...[/QUOTE]

Okay for those that need detailed instructions download the 114 os and install.
Download the cod files in the first post and unzip.
    Copy those files into c:\program files\common\research in motion\shared\the 114 os\java

It should ask you to replace the files if not you have to find that java folder

    Then upgrade your OS

I assume that you could overwrite the .cods with crackutil? This would save reloading the OS.
