    1. Download desired OS to your PC
    2. Install/run OS to PC
    3. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader (If your not on Orange UK)
    4. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
    5. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

    Nice one dude!

Installed and it is running slick so far.

You will definitely have to delete the vendor.xml if you wipe this time.

There are different numbers for each of the package version, platform version and application version - confusingly! All of them are similar looking numbers too, but it's the application version that seems to be the number to watch

Lol, just look at the first page of the this thread--> http://forums.crackberry.com/f132/up...pdated-123176/

Theres 4 or 5 Official's for the 9500 while theres only two for the 9530. It will be 3 when the .exe file is posted for .122, but the 9530 is still behind.

Since you're one of the people who gives out good info, any idea WHY the 9500 seems to be getting all the love? It seems like the 9530 is being left in the dust as far as official releases go.

Well, theres a lot of variables that come into play regarding this. But the main reason is that American & Canadian carriers are known for stringent testing, whereas overseas carriers don't test the software as much as they do here. Again, theres a couple more reasons, but this is the main one. And the 9500 is used by overseas carriers. :/

Probably because 9530 is only available in N.America while 9500 goes all over the world, therefore lots of "partners" receiving new OS's and releasing.

And also because Verizon seems to be a lazy a**

    just my opinion!

It's probably because they can have more testers for less pay, imagine the thousands of testers going like crazy in China!
